So, you have reviewed your process issues, analyzed the data gathered over the past few months, made recommendation to upper management and you now have the green light. The problem isn’t the implementation of the new process, but the success of it. Through the years, the Cadre Dynamics team has seen this time and time again, from personal experience to watching a fellow co-worker loose all hope. We understand how hard it is to implement change and would like to offer a few key tips our team has developed.
1. Always work with the person performing the tasks: Your best ally in the implementation process are the operators. Your new process may be great in your eyes, but if you do not have the support of the operators you can throw in the towel now. You need to use your allies as much as possible, listen to them, get your hands dirty doing the work, ask them what they want.
2. Triple check your data: There is nothing worse than changing old ways for something new when there was nothing wrong to start with. Your data can be your best friend or your worst enemy if its not understood completely. Make sure you are using the correct statistical analysis, check for inconsistencies showing possibly flawed data, make sure you will stand by your results no matter what.
3. Have confidence: Change is never something easy to implement. Try changing your morning routine by taking a shower then eating rather than eating first. Facts are, it takes 30 days to create a routine and this has been witnesses by our team. Just because you don’t see anything right away, doesn’t mean its not working. Keep at it, make sure what you implemented on day one isn’t changed by day five, upper management had confidence in your presentation don’t prove them wrong.
Cadre Dynamics stands by these keys to success and many more. If you ever get into issues you are unsure of, our team will help you out in anyway we can. Our goal is to help companies grow and succeed with our hands involved or giving you a few good ideas. Check back regularly for more tips, tricks and breakthroughs out team has for you.
